Real Water Heater Work in Milwaukee Homes

Ron W. called to have his water heater replaced. We installed a new 40-gallon short electric water heater and a thermostatic mixing valve to improve hot water capacity. Before leaving, we set the mixing valve to 105 degrees and walked Ron through how to adjust the temperature to his preference.
Neomi C. called after her tankless water heater started leaking internally. The unit was 16 years old, so we recommended replacing it with a new Navien tankless water heater. We completed the installation and confirmed everything was working properly before leaving.
Maron A. called after her daughter’s home experienced basement flooding that damaged the water heater. We replaced the old 40-gallon power vent unit with a new 50-gallon power vent water heater and confirmed everything was working properly before leaving.

Cannot say enough good thing about these guys. I have a pretty unique and challenging setup at my condo where the AC and Furnace were in really difficult to work places. I had three different HVAC companies come out and look at the job and all of them passed on the job due to the complexity. The guys at Austin saw the job and tackled it head on. They sent a small army out to get rid of the old equipment and did a flawless installation on the new furnace, water heater and A/C unit. I’ve dealt with probably 8 or 9 employees from the company and every one of them was kind and professional and takes their job seriously with pride. The communication, scheduling and work that they did was very professional and I’m extremely happy with the job that they did.

New hot water heater. Great service – Sam V did a great job explaining our options, and installing the new tank. Very thorough and knowledgeable, like everyone I’ve worked with at Austin PHA&E.

Notice the hot water heater was starting to leak from the bottom called Austin Heating, Air & Electric they gave me appointment for the next day. They sent text letting know Jay my service tech was on his way. When he arrived, he and his assistant covered their feet before proceeding to the basement. Jay assess the issue being that the water heater was 21 years old I knew it was going to need to be replaced. He went step by step how the new would installed to make it more serviceable in the future. They covered all the services with drop clothes as move the old one out and the new one in. Took about 2 hours. Very happy with the service.

Common Questions Milwaukee Homeowners Have About Water Heaters

Who’s the most trusted water heater company in Milwaukee?
Austin’s earned it the long way — installing and repairing water heaters in Milwaukee from the W Park Place shop since 1939, with 3,500+ five-star reviews behind the name. You get an honest repair-or-replace read, no commission pushing the sale, and right-sizing for your home — which matters in older Milwaukee houses where the last unit was often just whatever fit. Every install backed in writing.
How do I know if my water heater’s failing?
Hot water that quits partway through, a rusty tint at the hot tap, popping or rumbling from the tank, water pooling at the base, or a unit past ten or twelve years. In an older Milwaukee home, a heater tucked in a tight basement corner can also leak quietly for a while before you notice — worth a look if it’s aging. Austin tells you straight whether it’s a cheap part or the end of the road.
What’s involved in replacing a water heater?
Right-sizing it for your household, code-compliant venting and connections, safe removal of the old unit, and testing before anyone leaves. In older Milwaukee homes there’s often tight basement access or outdated venting that needs bringing up to code — Austin handles that as part of the job rather than leaving it half-done. A standard tank’s often a few hours; tankless or a relocation runs longer.
What does a new water heater cost in Milwaukee?
Quoted upfront, approved by you before work — no surprise line items. With non-commissioned techs and no salespeople, there’s no quiet steer toward the priciest unit, unlike the volume-driven outfits blanketing the city with ads. You’ll see honest options — repair, standard tank, or tankless — and pick what fits.
Anything about Milwaukee homes that affects water heaters?
Mostly it’s access and age. Older Milwaukee basements can mean tight spaces, dated venting, and connections that aren’t to current code, so a replacement isn’t always a straight swap. Austin’s done these installs in city homes for decades and sizes and sets up the unit for the house you actually have.
