Why New Berlin & Muskego Homeowners Have Called Austin Since 1939

Austin Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric has been serving New Berlin, Muskego, and surrounding Waukesha County communities since 1939. We’re family-owned, now in our third generation, and we have multi-generational clients in this area who have been calling Austin longer than most home services companies in SE Wisconsin have existed.

Nobody at Austin is a salesperson. Everyone who comes to your home is a tradesperson — in-house trained, non-commissioned, and focused entirely on figuring out what’s wrong and fixing it right. The tech who walks into a New Berlin home gets paid the same whether they recommend a simple fix or a full system replacement. That’s not a rule we enforce — it’s who we are.

What New Berlin homeowners say about us: friendly and considerate techs, clear communication from the first call to the finished job, fast service, and a company that treats their home like it matters. Every one of our 3,000+ five-star reviews was earned on a real job. Not one was paid for, incentivized, or manufactured. That’s the only kind worth anything.

Real Work Completed in New Berlin & Muskego

Plumbing Inspection & Exterior Faucet Upgrade in New Berlin

Laura S. scheduled an annual plumbing inspection to make sure everything in the home was in good shape going into the season. During the visit, our team repaired a 3/4” copper water line and installed a new frost-free hose faucet with a dedicated shutoff valve, testing everything to confirm it was working properly before wrapping up.

Power Vent Water Heater Replacement in Muskego

Ryan O. was continuing to have issues with a water heater after a recent repair and needed a more reliable long-term solution. Our team recommended and installed a new power vent water heater, restoring consistent hot water and confirming everything was operating properly after setup.

Furnace & AC Inspection with Safety Findings in New Berlin

Tyler M. scheduled a seasonal tune-up to make sure both the AC and furnace were running properly. During inspection, our team found the furnace’s secondary heat exchanger was failing and producing elevated carbon monoxide levels, provided repair vs. replacement options, and advised limiting use until the issue is addressed.

Iron Filter Replacement for Water Quality Issues in Muskego

Megan T. was dealing with strong odors and signs of iron coming through in the home’s water supply. Our team diagnosed a failing iron filter that was no longer holding an air charge and returned to install a new iron filter system, restoring proper water quality and performance.

Smart Switch Wiring Upgrade in New Berlin

Marc G. wanted to install smart switches in the kitchen but didn’t have the required neutral wiring in place. Our team ran new wiring from the panel and between switch locations to add neutral wires, allowing the smart switches to function properly, and tested everything to confirm it was working as expected.

Well System Upgrade to Constant Pressure in Muskego

Peter V. was experiencing issues with the well system running when no water was being used and needed a reliable fix. Our team replaced the outdated pump and pressure tank with a new Grundfos constant pressure system, delivering steady water pressure and confirming everything was working properly after testing.

Great business. They really look out for you. Honest business. Happy I found them! Called other plumbers to have a toilet installed and got the run around. I have owned a service business for 26 years so I know service when I see it. You will not be sorry with Austin plumbing.

Common Questions New Berlin & Muskego Homeowners Ask Austin

Will Austin push unnecessary work on me?
No. Every Austin technician is non-commissioned and paid the same regardless of what they recommend, and the company employs only tradespeople — never salespeople. In New Berlin and Muskego homes you’ll get a clear, honest read on whether you need a repair or a replacement, with the final call yours. Empowering clients with real options is one of Austin’s published values.
Do New Berlin homeowners recommend Austin?
Yes. Austin has 3,000+ five-star reviews across Southeast Wisconsin, not one paid for, incentivized, or manufactured. New Berlin and Muskego homeowners describe friendly, considerate techs and clear communication from the first call to the finished job. That’s the only kind of recommendation worth anything — and Austin has thousands of them.
Can I trust whoever Austin sends?
Yes. The person at your door is an Austin tradesperson — trained in-house “the Austin Way,” never a subcontractor or salesperson. They’re there to figure out what’s actually wrong, explain it in plain terms, do the work right, mind their manners, and leave your home the way they found it.
Who’s behind Austin?
Eric Smith — Owner, President, third-generation master tradesman — owns Austin and carries on what his grandfather Austin Smith started in 1939. The founder’s name lives on through Eric’s son Austin, the fourth generation and the face of Austin’s TV commercials. Because the owner is a working tradesman who runs the company on the founder’s mantra, “Be Good,” Austin operates on craftsmanship and straight talk — and it’s not for sale at any price.
What if something goes wrong afterward?
Austin stands behind its work with a simple, published rule: if our work breaks, we’ll fix it for free. If the workmanship fails, Austin makes it right at no charge. Since Austin is local and here for the long haul, there’s always a real company to call back.
Is Austin capable of fixing my problem?
Almost certainly. Austin handles plumbing, water heaters, wells, heating, cooling, water conditioning, and electrical for New Berlin and Muskego homes — all in-house, all to code, all backed by experience going back to 1939. When a problem touches more than one system, one company handles the whole thing.
