Jay D did an outstanding job inspecting the well, pump and what the DNR expects when you have your water tested. He also answered my questions on putting a gas line in for a gas stove. He was kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Btw that gas line will be installed in a couple days. Thank you. Update Pete came today and did an outstanding job installing a gas line for a gas stove. Once again Austin Plumbing has fantastic employees because Pete explained everything, was very kind, respectful and knowledgeable. He had this has line installed in very little time. Pete is incredible. I have never used Austin Plumbing before however I highly recommend them and will be using them if needed in the future and will recommend them to anyone who likes outstanding service. Thank you!

We had Austin come in to find a leak in our basement. After cutting 4 holes in our walls the leak was found. At that time we were told it would cost an additional $1300 over the initial $300 quoted just to fix a Y connection. We felt backed into a corner to pay this over inflated price. Also the plumber took the pieces of drywall that he cut out so now we have to buy drywall to fix our walls.

PRICE GOUGED FOR GUAGE...My review is more based upon Austin Plumings business practices and not the Technician...JAY who was thorough, explained everything, respectful of property, and cleaned everything up...Jay gets 5 stars! After purchasing a water softening system 2yrs ago...we just had our annual system inspection which we pay for and were led to believe would be FREE (for the inspection..which it was) & save us lots of money over the long run...Jay found a broken pressure guage on the well pump tank and I had him replace it, he then increased the pressure a bid. I KNOW this Guage is roughly $10...no more than $20 and it was less than a 5min fix...but I was charged $237!!! (Payable at the time of service). Why? because once they find a problem...you are imediately charged a diagnostics fee, part fee, installation fee, and I'm not sure about a service call fee though it may be slightly discounted $20 because we pay for the service contract. I would have gladly overpaid maybe $50-$100 to do a 2minute install of a $10 guage. Not sure I'm gonna continue the contract...when Hell, I could have put the $10 Guage in myself but was not given the option. Very Dissappointed.

Do not ever use this company!! They dusted me for $300. The person that came over to fix a leak today told me it would cost me $298 to put the parts in to fix the toilet, or I could get a new toilet as it was aged. I said I just want him to do the fix for $298 today and down the road I would replace the toilet. So he installed the new parts. Then showed me a leak where the bolts and seals were which was not there before he started. I never saw that leak before, and I clean that toilet on a weekly basis so I know!! Then proceeded to tell me that I could get my own toilet and they would come back and install it for $500. Well, little did I know that the same part comes with the purchase of a new toilet. I called and spoke to a manager who told me they would not take money off for the part that they just charged me $298 for, hence double charging me for the labor and part. Terrible business practice. Beware!! They won't tell you this before they start and they create leaks that aren't there. In the meantime i have a non working toilet because of a leak that wasn't there to begin with. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to get ripped off!! Rating is a negative zero.
